BLACK SWANS IN ST. JAMES PARK, LONDON, ENGLAND

  1. Black swans are so beautiful. There are some imported) in Lakeland Florida , the first ones I ever saw (I only remember the white ones from St James Park -- and the story about them belonging to the Queen).

    It's a good idea to put the button on the sidbar about Today's Flowers!!

  4. Black swans are beautiful. I have only seen them in zoos. I knew they were prevalent in Australia but I didn't realize about the UK. That's probably how they got to Australia, right? Duh!

  6. I love black swans, Denise! I have only seen a couple of swans in nature parks in Montreal and they were white. I also love the reflections in your photos. It may be just me, but it looks to me like the swan is checking out her own reflection in a couple of these photos! :)

  12. Beautiful pics of the black swans Denise. Our Swan River here in Perth Western Australia was named after the black swans inhabiting them. We delight in seeing the white swans, there is a colony of them on the Avon River in Northam.

  14. Beautiful images of the Black swans. Amazing how they are found all over the world now. The first post on the swans was very interesting.They are the emblem of Western Australia too.

  33. Wonderful to see our Aussie black swans enjoying life in the UK. We do have some white swans in Western Australia. They thrive in a country town about 60 miles north-east of Perth on the Avon River in Northam.
