Black swans are so beautiful. There are some imported) in Lakeland Florida , the first ones I ever saw (I only remember the white ones from St James Park -- and the story about them belonging to the Queen).

It's a good idea to put the button on the sidbar about Today's Flowers!!

She is so beautiful. It is a rare sight to see a black swan. Their beaks are so vibrantly red.

Black swans are beautiful. I have only seen them in zoos. I knew they were prevalent in Australia but I didn't realize about the UK. That's probably how they got to Australia, right? Duh!

I love black swans, Denise! I have only seen a couple of swans in nature parks in Montreal and they were white. I also love the reflections in your photos. It may be just me, but it looks to me like the swan is checking out her own reflection in a couple of these photos! :)

I love them. They are native to Oz, and the white ones seem sooooo exotic to me.

Beautiful pics of the black swans Denise. Our Swan River here in Perth Western Australia was named after the black swans inhabiting them. We delight in seeing the white swans, there is a colony of them on the Avon River in Northam.

I think it would be lovely to see black and white together, a bit yin and yang, they are beautiful birds and so lovely to see black swans.

The black swan, he is so lovely, but he also has to be a little lonely among all those white swans. I have never seen.

Dear Denise,

The black swan is so beautiful and graceful looking and thanks for showing us the photo.
Out driving today we had to stop the car as mother duck and her little family of ducklings were crossing the road -
Hope you are enjoying your Sunday

Wonderful to see our Aussie black swans enjoying life in the UK. We do have some white swans in Western Australia. They thrive in a country town about 60 miles north-east of Perth on the Avon River in Northam.

Just the two words "black swans" evoke something beautiful and graceful, and your photos show this to be true. I like to imagine them floating in silence.
